In this section you can get acquainted with the reviews of French tanks.
History of French tank building
French tank development began before the outbreak of World War I. The development of the first full tank began in 1916. Armored vehicles were used as support for cavalry. The French army in 6000 had 6,000 cars.
Towards the end of the war, France possessed more equipment than any other state. The cavalry command appreciated the prospects of armored vehicles and did not mind the creation of new types of troops. In 1917, each French cavalry division had 18 armored vehicles, and in 1923 the number of vehicles increased to 36 units.
In 1932, the first tank regiment was created in France. The armament included 80 units of tanks. The first production tank in France was the FT-17, which they began to develop in May 196.
