Each character of the corresponding class has its own subclasses. Sub classes give certain priorities and can completely change the tactics of combat. To increase the chances of winning, you need to properly configure the characters and choose the right specializations.
Features of the “Warrior” class in the game Wartales.
Warrior is a character for dealing great damage to opponents. When leveling, you can choose one of three specializations: Berserker, Executioner, and Guardian. From the chosen specialization will depend on the further tactics of warfare. At the same time, the correct further pumping will be important, since some abilities simply do not combine with certain specializations. However, in most cases, a warrior feels good in the front ranks, where opponents are dressed in medium armor.

The Berserker can wield two one-handed weapons and thus be the best at dealing damage. But, there will be some moments, opponents with two-handed weapons and heavy armor are not desirable. Since our character, the berserker, is wearing medium armor, which does not hold back blows from strong opponents well enough. At the same time, the berserker can be a conditional melee character, since the second weapon can be thrown and deal damage at a distance.
On some side, it is desirable to put on a shield for the place of the second weapon. In this case, the berserk will be slightly more protected, but deal less damage than with thrown weapons. It all depends on the opponents on the battlefield and the available composition of the allies, as well as the tactics themselves. Still, for the greater survival of the berserker, it is better to wear a shield.
– Second level.
The berserker’s ability “Rampage”, which deals damage to the target 3 times, in the amount of 4-6 units. On a critical hit, Fury is activated, increasing your next damage by 50%. For greater effectiveness of the berserker, you need to try to turn critical attacks. Therefore, when we allocate points for pumping an ability, we must not forget about the “Critical hit” indicator. That is, try to allocate pumping points to indicators that directly increase and increase the likelihood of critical damage.

Considering that the berserker in most cases is in a one-on-one battle with the enemy, it is advisable to pump the Glorious Duel. Then we will get 1 unit of valor in duel mode. This is the most suitable pumping for a berserker. 1 point of valor may not be much, however, it is there and will allow you to use the main ability longer. The other abilities available at level three don’t mesh well with the character.

At fifth level, the appropriate abilities are Recklessness and Zealotry. From these abilities you need to choose something. You need to rely on the combat technique and importance for the berserker himself. At the same time, both abilities are very good and give a positive effect on the battlefield. It is important to decide in what format we will use the berserk on the battlefield.
Recklessness triggers on the first skill that is used in each fight, this skill deals 150% more damage. Perhaps one of the most suitable abilities that will allow the berserker to deal decent damage to the enemy. It is important to use the attacking first skill, if you put a defensive stance, then the Recklessness ability will be useless.
Zealotry gives the Berserker the ability to activate Rage, which should increase the damage on the next attack. Fanaticism only triggers when the berserker loses 5% health at the end of the turn. The ability is activated in a passive position, it is not necessary to activate it additionally. As a result, the berserker will be able to deal good damage to opponents. There is a small drawback, with active armor on the character, the Zealotry ability does not work. Activates after losing armor in combat, which makes Zealotry a bit dubious.

The main ability of the executioner, “Cleaving Storm”, which deals 12 damage in the target area. At the same time, inflicts 1 attack for each enemy caught in the area of effect of such an area. For example, there are 2 opponents next to the executioner, which means 2 attacks will be made on nearby opponents. The cost of application is 2 points of valor. If there are 3 opponents, then three attacks will be made accordingly.

The most suitable ability at the third level is “Valorous Succession”. In this case, we get 1 unit of valor with more than 2 opponents nearby. Considering that our executioner needs to try to choose positions with 2 opponents, the ability will come in handy. Difficulties can arise if the opponents are far from each other, then there will be no priorities in valor.

The main task of the executioner is to deal fast and heavy damage to several opponents. In this case, the most suitable ability would be “Recklessness”. Recklessness will allow you to deal increased damage by +150% when using the first skill in each battle. If there are still 2-3 opponents nearby, then the damage will be very attractive. It is advisable to pump the ability “Recklessness”, for a significant increase in damage.
You can choose the Madness ability and give you the ability to increase attacks by 50% if the opponents have 30% health or less. Suitable for finishing and when there is another ally nearby, which inflicts decent damage on enemies. In another case, it does not look very attractive, since you first need to demolish the armor, and then even more of the health points.

The Guardian has the ability “Ovation” to support allies, which, when activated, grants allies “Strike Back”. A retaliatory strike allows you to make a parry and retaliatory attack on the enemy, in case of receiving damage. That is, it works after the end of its turn and before the start of its turn. The enemy attacks and receives change, our points are not spent on attack actions. Among the shortcomings of the Ovation ability, one can single out the cost, activation costs 2 units of valor. Ovation will trigger if the ally is already in a duel or skirmish.
– The third level.
In most cases, Guards are more suited to Defensive Stance and Glorious Duel. In the board with the guard, when choosing an ability, we start from the equipped weapon. If the guard is armed with two weapons, then it is advisable to pump the “Defensive Stance”. With a shield on, Defensive Stance is not really needed, so we choose Glorious Duel. We take into account the fact that the guard will often have to fight one on one with the enemy and be close to the ally.
– Fifth level.
For a Guardian, the Zealotry and Madness abilities may be suitable. Guardian as a finisher is a good thing when choosing “Madness”, but there will not be many such moments. The best combination is the Zealotry ability, which gives Rage if the guardian has 5% of their health points taken away at the end of the turn. In this case, you can respond well when they take down the armor or reduce health. Then the most suitable opponents will be those who can attack with an additional attack “Poison”. When choosing abilities, it is better to build on the tactics used for the guard.
Or perhaps consider the Recklessness ability, where the character will deal 150% more damage on their first skill attack. Works in every battle, in passive mode. All abilities at level 5 are a little questionable for a Guardian and don’t give much priority. As a result, the “Guardian” is just an ordinary tank for supporting and taking the attention of opponents.

The warrior is quite an interesting character who needs to determine the right place on the battlefield. Of the proposed three specializations, berserk, executioner and guardian, the first two will probably be the most suitable. The executioner in general can be a nominee for the biggest damage if there are 3 opponents nearby and 3 attacks are inflicted on them. It is important to correctly determine their place on the battlefield.
As for the guard, this is a complex character and in most cases is intended to support comrades. The main ability can be very effective if other allies are in a duel. Since they can make a retaliatory attack on the enemy, which will increase the number of attacks in one turn. But, the opponents have archers who knock out the allies from the duel and the guardian’s ability does not work. The Guardian is not very effective in several moments, does little damage, and the main ability “Ovation” does not always work.
