There are many clans in Northgard in which heroes are key to clan development and warfare. In different clans, the number of heroes is different, as well as their strengths. Some heroes can be pumped through improvements in the “Dowry” and “Career”, others with the help of artifacts.
The Lynx clan is the first clan to have three heroes. Moreover, everyone has their own abilities. Clan heroes can be equipped with passive and active abilities.
And the customary for most clans the “Career” upgrade tree has been replaced with the “Hunter’s Path” upgrade tree. If in the “Career” the player could choose the direction of pumping and decide on the strategy. Then in the “Path of the Hunter” pumping tree, you can pump the heroes of the clan and the main clan fighters of the “Pathfinders”.
Heroes of the Lynx clan in the game Northgard.
The Lynx clan is the only clan that has 3 heroes. At the same time, you can control the characters simultaneously and separately. Each hero has its own bonuses and abilities. Some abilities extend to heroes and give them additional increases to their characteristics.
A feature of the Lynx clan heroes, unlike other clans, is the purchase of heroes without spending “Iron”. This allows for some of the very first heroes to be recruited in the Northgard game. Due to this, you can quickly clear the nearest territories from neutral inhabitants and colonize the territory. The purchase cost of 3 heroes is extremely low, unlike other clans. And you can hire heroes for “Gold” and “Food”.
The head of the Mjelikki clan.
In her clan, Mjelikki is a seer and mistress of beasts. In her youth she became famous as an excellent hunter. During the hunt, I found two small lynxes, sheltered them and raised them. Now these lynxes “Brundr” and “Coylynn” follow “Mjelikki” and protect her.
You can hire Mjelikki at Boot Camp for 80 Gold. According to her characteristics, she is the weakest hero in the game without the use of abilities, weaker than the standard “Voivod”. The health reserve is 60 units, the defense is 8 units, and the attack is only 10 units. When upgraded, the attack increases to 14 damage units.
Mjelikka has special abilities that make her a very competitive hero. If you use her advantage correctly, you can quite compete with such heroes as “Torfin”, “Signy” and “Berserg”.
Mjelikka’s abilities:
-
“Healing”, passive ability.
Allows the hero to heal his companions Brundra and Koilinna. At the initial stage, this function is very helpful in the initial development of territories. In order for the ability to work, the heroes need to be in the same territory and not in battle.
You can pump the “Healing” ability in the “Hunter’s Path” pumping section.
-
“Mythic bait”, active ability.
“Mjelikki” can set “Mythic decoys” in neutral and their own territories. After installing the “Mythic decoy”, “Mythical animals” begin to appear on the territory. For killing “Mythical animals” you get “Hunting trophies”, which can be spent on pumping in the “Hunter’s Path” or sold for “Gold”.
You can get the opportunity to install Mythical Decoys after purchasing 200 Glory points. Reaching the title “Tan”.
Tips for Mythic Bait and extra Food.
You can attach 2 Villagers to the “Mythic bait”, which will become “Hunters” and will get “Food” until the “Mythical animals” arrive. We do not recommend leaving the “Hunters” alone without the main characters, since the “Mythical Animals” are stronger. In addition, the loss of 2 “Villagers” at the beginning of the game can complicate the further development of the clan.
When the “Mythical animals” appear, you can remove the “Hunters” to another territory, and return back after the battle. Or, before the battle, rearrange the “Hunters” to the second row, setting the heroes to take over the battle. “Hunters” in this case will play the role of support. It is advisable to do this tactic up to 5 waves and destroy the bait, since then the animals are very strong.
One “Hunter” brings about 4 units of “Food”, this is not much, but at the beginning of the game the increase is very noticeable. When developing new territories, “Food” is a very valuable resource, since colonization of new territories is done for “Food”.
-
“Oscorea”, active ability.
“Mjelikki” is the mistress of animals and is able to keep the souls of the “Mythical animals” who have died in battle. The ability “Oskorei” allows you to release “Souls of mythical animals” for the last battle with the enemy of the clan. After activating the ability “Mjelikki” dies, and the best “Souls of mythical animals” appear on the battlefield, which the clan fighters defeated in battle.
In order for the ability to be as effective as possible, you need to bring the “Mythic decoy” to wave 8 and defeat the summoned “Mythic animals”. As a result, 4 “Spirit of the mythical wolf” and 3 “Spirit of the mythical bear” will come to the aid of the allied army. The strength of such an army is quite tangible, even with the temporary action of the summoned animals. After activation, you will have to defeat the “Mythical animals” again.
Thanks to Oskorey’s ability, Mjelikka’s hero can be considered one of the strongest heroes in the Northgard game. That’s just this power you first have to get in order to use it later.
The second hero is “Brundr”.
He is a tamed animal head of a clan who can be hired at Boot Camp for 60 Gold and 40 Food. In its standard form, “Brundr” can deal 11 damage units and has 60 health units, 7 units of protection. In a pumped state “Brundr” is capable of inflicting 17 points of damage per hit, health is 81 points. And the protection is at the same level, 7 units.
Travel speed is high. It moves very quickly through the territory and can manage to provide support to the attacked allied territories in time.
Abilities of “Brundr”:
-
“Blow of claws”, passive ability.
“Brundr” is capable of delivering a powerful first attack, which temporarily reduces the enemy’s defense. If it is in the same territory with “Koylynn”, then the attack increases by + 20%.
-
“Keen eye”, passive ability.
The character “Brundr” gets camouflage and can move across neutral territory without engaging in battle with neutral opponents. If it starts to attack the enemy, the camouflage is removed.
You can pump it in the upgrades “The path of the hunter” for “Hunting trophies”.
The third hero is “Coylynn”.
Just like “Brundr” is the tamed animal head of the “Mjelikki” clan. You can hire at the Boot Camp for 40 Gold and 60 Food.
In its stock state, it can deal 11 damage per hit. Has 60 units of health and 7 units of attack. When upgraded, it has 81 units of health and 10 units of protection. Can attack enemies for 15 damage per hit.
Coylynn’s abilities:
-
“Keen eye”, passive ability.
Can move around neutral territory without engaging in combat. Leveling is available in the “Hunter’s Path” upgrades for “Hunting Trophies”.
-
“Roar”, active ability.
During the battle, you can activate the “Roar” ability and all nearby enemies will be intimidated for 0.5 seconds. At this time, they scatter in different directions and lose the ability to attack.
If Coylynn is in the same territory as Brundr, it gains an additional + 40% defense. Protection operates in a passive state if the condition for the presence of the main characters in one territory is met.
