Northgard Clan Lynx Guide by Mythic Bait and Rangers

In the Northgard game, the Lynx clan is the first to have the opportunity to search for wild animals and lure them to the desired territory. And then you can get a unique upgrade from the “Hunting Trophies” or trade the obtained prey on the “Market”. The loot trade earns 50 Gold for 75 Hunting Trophies.

Gaining the ability to install Mythical Decoys.

After reaching 200 glory points, the head of the Mjelikki clan becomes able to install Mythical Decoys, which attracts Mythical Wild Animals. In addition to the bait, you can attach two “Hunters” who get food outside of battle. To install the bait, you will need 60 units of “Food”.

“Mythical baits” are needed to get “Hunting Trophies”. Which can later be used to level up the clan or sell on the “Market”. “Hunting trophies” can also be obtained from neutral wild animals, but their recovery time is quite long.

The active “Mythic decoy” time is about 1:50 seconds, after one victory over a party of “wild mythical animals”. After a period of about 2 minutes, a new wave of “wild mythical animals” appears, stronger and with more.

It is best to choose areas where there is no great need and strategic features to install the Mythic Bait. Strategic territories may include territories with “Food”, “Stone”, “Forest”. The best place for the “Mythic Bait” might be the free territory “Swamp”. If the nearest “Swamp” is not there, then you can temporarily install it on your territory, where there is no “Food” and “Forest”. It is imperative to protect the “Defense Tower”

Use Mythic Decoy as a defense against an enemy clan.

Mythic Decoy can be used for defensive purposes. To do this, you need to choose the next territory adjacent to your own and try to bring it to 5-6 waves. Wait for the “Mythical Animals” to come to the territory, and then leave to go about their business. Or go work on the second Mythic Bait. If possible, of course, it is advisable to leave such a territory with creatures from wave 8, since they are the most powerful.

This strategy can be chosen in order to close the unnecessary passage from the enemy clan. This can allow you to concentrate on the other direction. If there are two enemy clans nearby. Even if an enemy clan decides to attack a place with “Mythic decoy”, he will lose part of his army. After that, you can safely carry out an offensive operation. And in this case, the loss of their troops will be minimal.

If you place a decoy on neutral territory near the border of the enemy clan and leave it without the protection of allied warriors and “Mythical animals”, then the enemy clan will simply buy and colonize the territory without a fight. In this case, the “Mythic bait” will disappear, and the “Mythical animals” will no longer be summoned to this territory. Therefore, the territory must be inhabited by someone.

There are 8 growing waves in total. After the 8th wave, all subsequent waves are repeated, and their strength does not exceed the strength of the 8th wave. If the “Mythic bait” is installed on its territory and it was not possible to defeat the “Mythical animals”, then the territory can become neutral.

Types of waves of “Mythical animals” and tips for passing:

1 Wave.

One “Mythic wolf” and 2 “Mythic rams” are summoned. A group of 3 heroes can defeat the wave, no problem.

2 Wave.

2 “Mythic wolf” and 2 “Mythic ram”. A group of heroes deal with the wave calmly.

3 Wave.

2 “Mythic wolves” and 3 “Mythic rams” appear. For help, “Hunters” can be installed, which will need to be removed for the main characters. The presence of “Hunters” is reasonable up to wave 3, since then they simply have to be removed to another territory. If the “Hunters” are left on the territory with the “Mythic bait”, they may die. Besides, there will be no big sense from them.

4 Wave.

Stronger and more dangerous “Mythical animals” begin with this wave. Summons 2 Mythic Wolf and 3 Mythic Ram and 1 Mythic Bear.

Fighting wave 4 will be a little difficult. The main characters may need help from the “Defense Tower” or “Pathfinders”, which occupy the second row.

5 Wave.

3 “Mythic wolf”, 1 “Mythic bear” and 2 “Mythic ram”. Three heroes and 4 Pathfinders can cope with the 5th wave of Mythical Animals. For “Pathfinders” you can pump “Shooting Range” to increase the attack.

After the victory, it is advisable to remove the “Mythic decoy”, and then reinstall it. This way you can save fighters and heroes. And it is possible to save the territory if the “Mythic bait” is installed on its territory.

6 Wave.

3 “Mythic wolves”, 2 “Mythic bear” and 1 “Mythic ram” appear. Better to attack with three heroes and under the cover of 4-6 “Pathfinders”.

7 Wave.

The penultimate wave allows you to fight 4 Mythical Wolves and 2 Mythic Bears.

8 Wave.

It is considered the strongest wave available. 4 “Mythical wolves” and 3 “Mythic bears” resort to the bait. Better to attack with three pumped heroes and under cover of about 8 – 12 pumped “Pathfinders”.

Types of summoned “Mythical animals”:

Some of the summoned “Mythical Animals” have their own special passive abilities that increase their combat abilities in battle.

  • “Mythical Aries”.

It is the standard and weakest summoned creature. Health reserve is 35 units, defense is 4 units, and attack is 8 units of damage.

It does not represent a big danger for the group of the main characters; it is very easy to defeat the “Mythic Aries”.

  • “The mythical wolf”.

The level of danger is at the average level. Has a health reserve of 55 units, 3 units of defense and 12 units of attack. The passive ability “Ferocious Bite” is added to the existing attack, which deals additional damage by + 100% for every third time of the attack.

In a group with several wolves, it can be a good danger to a group of the main characters of the clan. To defeat the “Mythical Wolves” you may need helpers in the form of “Hunters”, “Defense Tower”, “Pathfinders”.

  • Mythical Bear”.

The most powerful enemy of the waves summoned by Mythic Decoy. The health reserve is 85 units, 13 units of protection and deals 11 units of damage. Possesses the passive ability “Stomp”, which inflicts damage on all enemies that are nearby. Stomp is triggered once per three attacks.

Without additional helpers, it is better not to risk fighting with him. Since it takes a lot of time to fight, and then it still takes time to restore health to the main characters. And losing a hero can contribute to other problems. In conditions of being with other enemy clans near their borders, it is very dangerous.

Enemy clan fighters can take advantage of the moment of the summoned “Mythical animals” and attack. It is extremely difficult to fight in two directions at the same time, besides, there may not be enough protective warriors. And if the “Mythical bait” is installed on its territory, then there is a risk of losing one of the territories or both territories in general, if you do not serve the attack of the enemy clan.
