Talents are additional character improvements that increase various characteristics and can give active abilities. The level of available talent pumping depends on the skill level, the higher the skill level, the more talents of a certain development can be pumped.
The developers have included in the game additional secret talents that can be obtained by completing special tasks. Some talents can be obtained through interactions with special mechanisms or devices. Secret talents also increase the characteristics of the characters, and some extend to the entire group of rangers.
Secret talents in Wasteland 3.
-
Talent “Fight with machines”.
A character equipped with the “Fight with machines” talent gets a bonus to vehicle damage by + 5%. An additional bonus of completing the assignment from Randy Gett is that he kind of becomes a member of the team and starts working at our base.
You can get the talent “Fight with machines” from the mechanic Randy Gett, who is located in the Dikovenarium area. But, first you need to complete the task and help save his family.
After completing the task, you need to return to your base and find the mechanic Randy Gett. It is next to the vehicle. In the dialogue with him, we learn a few tips about the vehicle, and upon completion, the talent “Fight with machines” will appear in the talent tree.
-
Talent “Explorer’s Eye”.
Awarded for an invitation to the base in the infirmary of the robot V.I.K.I. The talent will give the opportunity to increase perception by 1 point, for all characters in the group.
Robot V.I.K.I can be found in the “Commune of Machines”, in the process of completing the task “Counterintelligence”. The task “Counterintelligence” can be obtained from two characters of the game, this is the merchant “Sister Nancy Forge” or the medic “Jane”.
-
Talent “Tenacious Ranger”.
Issued after the rescue of Dr. La Loca and Rook in the Vastine area. After rescuing, you need to return to the base and talk to La Loka, who should be in the infirmary. After the dialogue, the talent “Resilient Ranger” will be acquired. The Resilient Ranger talent gives a + 5% bonus to healing.
-
Talent “Illustratio”.
Allows you to increase the indicators of perception by + 1 unit.
It will not be easy to get the secret talent “Illustratio”, as it is not clear in the course of execution what the task is. You can get the talent “Illustratio” from the “Vice-Rector” for saving him and delivering him to a mysterious cave. The “Prorector” is located in the divenarium area, in one of the warehouses.
After the dialogue with the “Vice-rector” has been carried out, you need to look for a coin with “the image of an Owl” or “Owl Minerva”. This coin can be found in the “Snowy Hotel” location inside the toaster. You can get access to the location on the mission “Justice in the Wild Lands”, which is issued from the character “Lucy Vesend”.
Since the “Vice-rector” will need to be delivered to a mysterious cave, he will follow the rangers and help in battles. But the coin itself is needed to open a mysterious cave; without a coin, the doors will not open.
The cave is located in the “Slaughterhouse” area, in the upper left corner of the global map. When the access to the mysterious cave is open, it will be possible to meet several more vice-rectors who will sing songs standing in a circle. After the song, the Rangers seem to lose consciousness, and when they wake up, they become the owners of the new talent “Illustratio”.
-
Talent “Eye of Tarjan”.
The talent can be obtained from the “Tariana” slot machine, which is located in the Divenarium Museum. You can use the slot machine with the “Tarjan Tokens”. Tarjan’s Tokens can be found in broken toasters.
The Taryan’s Eye talent gives the character cold resistance by + 1% and penetration by +2 units.
-
Talent “Fortune cookies”.
The talent is also issued from the “Tariana” slot machine, in the divenarium museum. Grants a bonus to constitution + 15 units.
It’s good if you manage to get this talent sooner, the closer to the end of the game. Nevertheless, even in this case, an additional increase in health will not be superfluous.
-
Talent “Foresight”.
You can also get it from the Taryana slot machine, in the divenarium museum. Increases evasion by + 10%.
Just like the fortune cookie talent, it is desirable to get it in the early stages of the game. Dodging will increase survivability in combat and make it easier to navigate difficult areas. Even + 10% plays a decent role on the battlefield.
Advice on playing with the Taryana slot machine.
It is advisable to save before interacting with the “Tariana” slot machine. Naturally, when you already have the necessary Tarjan Tokens. And only then try to play a slot machine. The fact is that there is a risk of losing the valuable “Tarjan’s Token” to the empty one. And when the slot machine did not give out the prize talent, you need to reboot and try to play again.
A similar procedure can be performed until the prize talents drop out. In total, we managed to collect three talents from the “Taryana” slot machine. Sometimes the slot machine can issue normal temporary improvements that are less valuable than prize talents. Because the prize talents do not expire.
-
Talent “Cyborg”.
Allows the character to use robot implants. You can get this opportunity from a medic – a robot “Medic Vivisecto” in the commune of machines. In dialogue with him, you can buy this improvement for about $ 1020. It looks like a module with an antenna.
“Cyborg control module” must be installed in the auxiliary slot for grenades or first aid kits. And then apply to the character who is going to be given this feature.
