Hello dear friends! In 2022, the developers of World of Tanks released a new update introducing new content to the Steel Hunter special mode. In the new update, players can play on the new Firnulfir map and new tanks. In total, 3 tanks appeared in Steel Hunter – these are Beowulf from Sweden, Bái Láng (China) and Huragan (Poland). Each tank has its own unique abilities and combat tactics.

In the Steel Hunter 2020 game event, players can fight other players on special maps. In the process of game combat, pump your war horse, that is, a tank. To pump modules for a tank, you need to collect supplies dropped from a cargo plane or supplies located in different parts of the map on the territory. And also deal damage to enemies and collect trophies from them.

Each tank from the presented tanks has its own special qualities and advantages on the battlefield. Important points in the victory are pumpable modules, they can change the tactics of combat. To survive and get into the top three fighters, you will have to study the strengths and weaknesses of the existing tanks.

For the first time in Steel Hunter, the Bai Lang tank appeared in 2022 with the release of update 1.17. Bai Lang is more suitable for players who prefer light and medium tanks. Pumping allows you to choose the class of the tank depending on the style of the game. The tank is very difficult to develop and fight on the battlefield. The tank is missing something, everything seems to be there, but not enough.

During the game, you need to decide in which class to end the battle. On the one hand, you can get a fast and light tank with a drum loading mechanism or a single-shot gun. And on the other hand, a medium tank, which has more hit points and the ability to mount a high-explosive cannon. The choice is not easy and very often affects the result of the place at the end of the battle.

As mentioned above, we can upgrade two different classes that have their own game tactics. In this article, we will consider pumping with the armor of a light tank and a drum cannon. Of course, players can mount any weapon they like, but Bai Lang’s most relish is the drum weapon. Since of all the available guns in the Steel Hunter, only Bai Lang has such a drum gun.

The first level of Bai Lang immediately makes it clear that a light class tank and open fire is not the best idea. Since there are 1000 points of strength, weak armor and weapons. Such parameters can only be dealt with with the Arlequin tank. For all other cases, a 630 horsepower engine is on board, which develops a speed of 60 kilometers per hour.

It will be possible to run away from some medium and heavy tanks. Beware at the beginning of the game you need Raven (USA), Harbinger Mk. IV (Great Britain) and Huragan (Poland), these tanks have approximately the same speed as the Bai Lang. Therefore, you need to leave them immediately, besides, the weapons of medium tanks are normal. The listed tanks easily penetrate the armor of Bai Lang, but Bai Lang sometimes does not penetrate Raven (USA) and Huragan (Poland) at the first levels. And in general, all tanks, except for Arlequin, are dangerous at the first levels. That’s just from the cords you can safely escape.

When choosing a radar, there should be no big difficulties. The first radar will allow you to scan 300 meters once in 15 seconds. And the second 530 meters at a time in 25 seconds. The radars are weaker than those of the Arlequin, but it has little effect on the gameplay. In addition, these are the best radars among the available tanks. We suggest pumping the first radar, as it allows you to scan the territory more often.

Given that we are pumping a light tank, we need an engine with a higher speed. Since it is very important to drive fast and have good mobility. The durability of a tank in the light tank branch is less than when upgraded to a medium tank. In addition, the mass of light armor hulls is low and practically does not create a load on the engine. Therefore, we pump the second version of the engine.

The speed will be from 75 kilometers per hour. Power, of course, is not a strong point, 950 horsepower, but it is quite enough for the hull of light tank modules. At the same time, the loss of mobility is almost imperceptible. The only thing that complicates the fighting is the hit points of the hulls for the light tank.

When choosing a weapon, you need to build on the preferences of the player. Of course, you can take a single-shot cannon, which has more armor penetration and deals more one-time damage. But, given the parameters of the tank and the fact that this gun is installed only on the Bai Lang tank, it is better to install it.

The 56-85TG gun with an 85 mm magazine has 6 rounds in the drum, penetrates 160 mm of armor and deals 120 damage per round. The characteristics indicate 6 shells, but in reality there are only 3 shots. But one shot fires two projectiles that can deal 240 damage. The cooldown between shots is 2 seconds, and a full drum is charged in 9 seconds.

These are quite good indicators for such a weapon. At the initial stage of development, a suitable strategy is shooting from a distance. After shooting, you need to leave the place to charge the drum. The spread of the gun is 0.38 per 100 meters, a quite comfortable gun for firing at medium distances.

When choosing a reservation, you need to refer to the map of the area. Of course, if earlier you chose an engine, then it is advisable to select boron for the engine. In our case, the engine was chosen from the second option, which develops a high speed.

There are drawbacks in terms of hull strength and armor thickness. If the thickness of the armor is not particularly noticeable when fighting other tanks, then hit points play an important role. Selecting the configuration of a light tank, 1600 HP will appear on board. The hull armor is very small, but the turret gives 120 millimeters of frontal armor. After the turret, it is possible to install drum-loading guns.

Of course, there are very few durability points closer to the end of the battle. Since some tanks are capable of inflicting one-time damage of about 500 units per shot. In addition, the thickness of the armor will not protect against an enemy shot at all. As a result, you need to think very carefully when choosing this configuration. The only place where the equipment of a light tank has proven itself is on maps with open terrain. It is also good to play in an urban environment, but spinning an enemy tank will be problematic because of the buildings.

Two types of guns are available for the light tank branch, these are a single-shot cannon and launchers with a drum. Both guns are good in their moments, of course, both guns can be suitable for a light tank. It all depends on the style of play, the terrain map and the remaining opponents. We recommend a gun with a drum loading mechanism.

Gun with magazine loading 100 mm 62-100TA.

The 100 mm gun 62-100TA is very similar to the 85 mm gun 56-85TG. The principle of shooting is the same, only there are more shells and shots on board. The 100 mm 62-100TA gun has higher single damage and penetration, unlike the tier 4 85 mm 56-85TG drum gun.

100mm 62-100TA is the most unique in the game, which is installed only on the Bai Lang tank. This principle of shooting first appeared in World of Tanks with the release of the American tank of the third level MTLS-1G14. It is difficult to say how effective it is, you can play, but you need to get used to it. If you look at the abilities, then the gun is not particularly suitable, since the armor does not always break through. This suggests that the Acid Projectile ability may not trigger.

The 100mm 62-100TA repeating cannon fires two rounds in one shot, with a short delay. The first projectile flies to the target area. The second projectile fires where the aiming sight is indicated. If you look through the scope, and not shoot automatically, you can see that the second projectile flies in the other direction. This makes it a little more difficult to shoot at a distance, but in close combat there is no difference.

The drum throws projectiles with low damage of 150 units per projectile and low penetration of 240 millimeters. Considering that 2 projectiles are fired per shot, the damage is 300 units. True, it happens that one projectile passes. In total, there are 8 shells in the drum, which are enough for 4 shots.

Reloading the drum takes 10 seconds, and between shots 2 seconds. Therefore, the drum is good enough. One drum full drum is capable of delivering 1200 damage. At the same time, the reloading of the drum itself is quite fast, if we compare the guns with other guns on other tanks.

• Acid projectile

Adds corrosive properties to the projectile. When it deals damage to enemy vehicles, a temporary effect is applied to it, causing additional periodic damage. The repair kit resets the effect. It happens that the enemy did not take into account that you need to turn on the repair kit, but activated the “Restoration of equipment”, then the ability deals decent damage.

The ability goes well with weapons that have good penetration. If the projectile with the activated ability does not penetrate the enemy’s armor, then the “Acid Projectile” will not work. Therefore, it is very important to take into account the armor of enemy tanks and try to shoot at the side or rear. Sometimes the ability “Acid Shell” with a single-shot cannon and a drum cannon is used idle.

Summons an autonomous tank equipped with a “friend or foe” system that will chase and attack the nearest enemy for some time. The robot can be destroyed. This ability is reminiscent of Arlequin’s Fireman, it also summons a partner, only it lasts longer.

In different cases and with different players, the “Combat Robot” showed itself from different angles. On the battlefield, such an ally provides a good advantage, as it can divert attention to itself. Opponents do not always switch to the robot and try to shoot with the Bai Lang tank. Since the robot deals a small amount of damage per shot.

The advantage of the “Combat Robot” is that it is small and fast. And it should be noted that playing on different tanks you can perfectly feel this asshole. For example, for tanks, cannons with a large spread of guns may have difficulty hitting a robot. While the gun is reduced, the robot will move to another place. Tanks with low mobility and turn can be even more of a problem, the Warbot just flies around them.

Thus, the main effectiveness of the “Combat Robot” ability applies to heavy tanks. The second targets are medium tanks and only then light ones. There have been instances in combat where the Warbot has been effective against the Arlequin. It all depends on the player who is fighting the “Combat Robot”.

If you competently conduct battles and get used to a gun with a magazine-loading mechanism, then you can throw it well on the players. It is desirable to have all the abilities on board, without them it is difficult to dismantle enemy tanks. Since there are few strength points, and the armor does not hold a blow well. Comfortable territory outside the cities, among the relief terrain. At the same time, it is important to keep a distance from enemy tanks, then successful battles are quite possible.
