Welcome Tankers! In the near future, the developers of the game world of tanks will release a new gaming event, which is dedicated to the end of the war in Europe. The game event will be released on May 4, 2020 and will last until May 18, 2020. During this period, players will be able to play on new maps with rare game mechanics and compete for a new tank of the 7th level “IS – 2 Shielded”.

Game process.

In order to take part in the game event “Road to Berlin” you need to select a special section at the top of the screen. And then choose the unit for which you will participate in the battles. A similar mode has already been introduced to players in the game game “The Last Frontier”.

Each presented unit has its own military equipment and special abilities with three levels. After increasing each level, a new tank technique becomes available. This increases the likelihood that the enemy’s equipment will also be stronger and higher. The higher the level of the unit, the higher the level of the enemy, and therefore it will be more difficult to defeat it.

In one battle, up to five allies can meet. Each of the allies selects its own unit and a battle tank on which it takes hostilities. It is important to note that the level of subdivision of an ally also affects the level of enemy tanks.

There are five units available:

1st tank battalion. (Composition of American medium tanks).

At the first level, you can go into battle on the American medium tank M4A2 Sherman.

At the second level is available American medium tank M4A3 Sherman Jumbo.

At the third level is the American medium tank T26E3.

There are two special skills in the 1st Tank Battalion unit that are improved according to the unit’s level:

“Air raid”. When activated, aviation is called up and drops a bomb in the indicated area. All enemy vehicles that are in this area take damage.

“Incendiary shells.” The St. John’s Ward unit can activate a special projectile, which is able to set fire to an enemy tank if the projectile breaks through the armor. In this case, you need to try to break through the weaknesses of enemy tanks.

Iron company. (Composition of Soviet heavy tanks).

On the first level, the heavy Soviet tank IS-1 is available.

At the second level is the Soviet heavy tank IS-2.

At the third level is the Soviet heavy tank IS-2V.

There are two special skills in the Iron Company division that improve according to the division’s level:

“Mortar shelling” when activated in a selected area, damage is done to enemy tanks from mortars.

“Minefield” for activation, you need to drive up to the desired place for laying mines and activate the ability. After that, the markup for installing the “Minefield” will appear. It is important to note that allied tanks can safely pass through these minefields without damage.

Hypericum. (Consists of Soviet anti-tank self-propelled guns).

At the first level, the Soviet anti-tank self-propelled gun SU-85M is available.

At the second level, the Soviet anti-tank self-propelled gun SU-100.

At the third level, the Soviet anti-tank self-propelled gun ISU-122S.

There are two special skills in the St. John’s Wort unit that improve according to the unit’s level:

“Attack strike”. After activating the ability, you can call for help aircraft – attack aircraft that inflict damage on the area. At the same time, enemy tanks take damage and their modules can fail.

48th breakthrough regiment. (Composition of British heavy class tanks).

On the first level, the British Churchill 4 heavy tank is available.

At the second level is the British heavy tank Churchill 7.

On the third level is the British heavy tank Black Prince.

There are two special skills in the 48th Breakthrough Regiment that improve according to the unit’s level:

“Shelling”. After activation, you can select the area for the artillery shelling and damage to enemy tanks.

“Full throttle.” In the case of heavy tanks in Great Britain, the speed increases during acceleration of the tank.

Winged squad. (Composition of Soviet medium tanks).

At the first level, the Soviet T-34-85 medium tank is available.

At the second level is the Soviet medium tank T-34-85M.

At the third level is the Soviet medium tank T-44-58.

There are two special skills in the Winged Squad unit that improve according to the unit’s level:

“Katyush Volley” causes artillery strike from Katyush. After activation, an area appears to indicate salvo launch. When hit in enemy tanks, damage is caused, modules are damaged and the tank may catch fire.

Battle battles.

During the battle with enemy tanks, players will be given tasks to contain the enemy breakthrough and capture certain territories. In addition to this, almost all combat units of German technology, including artillery, are present in enemy units. Unless you have to fight with light tanks.

The whole battle is divided into 5 stages, with its objectives and territory. The stages include tasks about a breakthrough and defense, as well as a victory over an enemy commander.

First step.

more like an invasion of enemy territory. It is necessary to clear the territory of enemy equipment. At the same time, it is not necessary to destroy all enemy equipment, but only the amount indicated in the task. After the mission is completed, the remaining enemy tanks retreat. And some may be in the next battles.

Second phase.

Protection of the occupied territory. In this mode, enemy tanks quickly break through the occupied positions of the allied tanks. Along the breakthrough tanks on the enemy side, artillery takes part in the battle.

At this stage, it is important to save as many strength points as possible in the tank. To do this, you need to consider which tank went into battle and which tank the ally is next to you on. Heavy tanks can withstand blows from some enemy tanks. That means he needs to be the first to provoke enemy tanks to open fire.

The third stage.

Almost no different from the first. We must again break through the enemy’s defenses and move in front. After we managed to cope with the second stage, another section of the map opens. On the new section of the map are new enemy tanks and may be those that could not be finished. It is necessary to destroy the specified number of enemy tanks and then the enemy will begin to retreat.

The fourth stage.

The task is to break through the enemy defenses. To perform a new stage, a new section of the map will open. At this stage, the enemy is even stronger and a maximum of skill may be required to break through his defense. This time it is advisable to defeat as many enemy tanks as possible and maintain strength points.

The fifth stage.

Battle with enemy commander tanks. In the fifth stage, the battle is as difficult as possible. To win, you need to destroy all enemy commanders. At the same time, it is very important that all allies can reach this stage and save as many tanks as possible.

The more tanks the allies were able to save, the higher the chance of victory. Commander tanks will need to be distracted and try to inflict damage on them from different sides. If you leave one-on-one with the command tank, then it is quite possible he will be able to defeat you.

Battle rewards.

And of course, as without rewards. After completing all the stages and destroying the enemy commanders, reaching Berlin. You can get quite valuable rewards. First of all, these are pleasant impressions of the gameplay and a kind of competitive excitement, and then awards.

Based on the results of the battles, you can get a rare premium tank, the Soviet heavy tank IS-2 shielded. It differs from its other analogs by special protection with screens. This screen armor covers the tower and some parts of the hull, which increases its effectiveness in battle and complicates the penetration of some shells.

You can also become the owner of the “Special Medal”, training brochures and the trophy module “Ventilation”. And of course, a unique patch based on the results of the “Road to Berlin” game event.

An additional reward for players can be considered a unique card. Which is designed specifically for this Berlin gaming event. The developers have prepared a little surprise regarding the map of Berlin. She can be active from May 9th. Since it was at this time in 1945 that the Great Patriotic War ended.

The chance of a battle on this map is about 30%. In this case, you need to have a level 3 unit, and the points obtained by the results of the battle are doubled.
